The Autocar, 1898:
“A magnificent depôt has just been opened in the Avenue de la Grande Armée, within the fortifications of la ville lumière, and it is decidedly one of the smartest shops in the Avenue, situated among the many cycle makers’ depôts. It has been fitted up in a most luxurious manner with true Parisian taste, the machines being shown up on carpets among ferns, like diamonds at the jewellers’ in the Rue de la Pais.
An extensive workshop has been fitted up with suitable machinery brought from the main works, so that repairs may be done on the premises by competent workmen, thus saving the bother to chauffeurs of having to drive down to Puteaux for their repairs.”
